Pittsburgh Event Planner | Sienna + Amya's Mermaid Birthday Party

Sienna's 3rd birthday + Amya's 16th joint mermaid themed birthday party was out of this world...or should we say SEA! The party was held at the family home where the pool with floating balloon bubbles was a major hit with all of the young mermaids + mermen! Guests entered the party through a custom aquarium bursting with brightly colored, life like sea creatures such as an octopus, jelly fish + more all made out of balloons. Once down by the pool, a real life mermaid was waiting for the kids to teach them about life under the sea. The sea creatures didn't end at the aquarium, more of them made their way down by the bar where specialty aquamarine  cocktails were served. If guests wanted to escape the heat, they ventured inside to grab a mermaid fin cake pop, sea shell cookie or any of the other amazing desserts provided by Bella Christie + Lil Z's bake shop. Sienna + Amya's birthday party was Mer-tastic time + every kid went home with a goodie bag that reminded them just how Mer-mazing they really are. Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Sawina + Karan

Sawina + Karan's wedding celebration in Pittsburgh was a two-day affair full of tradition, bold colors, beauty + endless memories. {SHE} was honored to work with a dream team of vendors such as Elegant Affairs Inc. who was responsible for all of the stunning floral + décor + Jorge Santiago Photography who fabulously captured the weekend of events. Friday night, the festivities started with a sangeet that completely transformed the Pittsburgh Rivers Casino banquet hall into a room full of life + magnificent color. The night started with traditional dances + ended with a replica of a marketplace from India opening for guests to either trade in their custom keys, which they were handed when they walked in, for an intricately  beaded purse, or shop for other items.

Saturday, the ceremony + reception were held at the historic Omni William Penn hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. The ceremony was held in the Urban Room which connects to the main ballroom where dinner + dancing took place. Before guests even went to the wedding ceremony, they participated in the baraat tradition where the groom processes in on a white horse. The ceremony space was truly breathtaking, with a gorgeous white porcelain elevated aisle + flowers lining the makeshift altar, it looked amazing from every angle. As guests processed into the main ballroom, twinkling lights, massive floral arrangements + makeshift trees took guest’s breath away. The sides of the ballroom were separated by a custom marble dance floor + a sweetheart lounge for Sawina + Karan that included not 1 but 3 hanging chandeliers. It was truly a weekend to remember + {SHE} wishes the happy couple a lifetime full of love.

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Siobhan + Brian

Siobhan + Brian’s wedding was a chic + stylish affair! The couple envisioned a clean + elegant reception, but in a not so traditional space, + therefore decided upon The Ace Hotel in Pittsburgh. This trendy hotel is unique in that they have a grand ballroom for events, but they also have a refurbished gymnasium which can be used for cocktail hour, dancing, etc. After cocktail hour in the gymnasium, guests moved to the ballroom for the sit down dinner where a mix of clear acrylic chairs + black chivari chairs created a modern twist on traditional seating. Each place setting had a menu delicately tied around a black napkin, atop a trio of classy black + white plates in gold trim. It was a perfectly polished look that complimented the beautiful white + green floral arrangements + gold candle lit vases spread throughout each table. The night ended with guests dancing to the groovy tunes of The Bachelor Boys + eating delicious cake from Bella Christie + Lil Z’s. Exquisite, Inspiring + Empowering are just a few words to describe a private dinner soirée entitled A Seat at the Table. {SHE} invited fifty of Pittsburgh’s girl bosses to wine + dine, talk business + inspire each other to dream bigger, aim higher + support each other in their entrepreneur pursuits! Chic glam met cultural trends as the event was inspired by the movie Black Panther. Wakanda Forever was styled to perfection with a beautiful long table, adorned with greenery, modern geo vases, fresh fruit + intimate candle light! Rosette inspired chair sashes were placed on each fruitwood chiavari chair in the dinner’s rich hue palette of marsala, gold +chocolate brown. Being the detail snobs that we are, {SHE} made sure that the spirit of Wakanda was infused into every aspect of the event. From the signature cocktail, to the custom Caribbean inspired menu + the guests attire, every element eluded to the award winning cinemas melanin magic! A Seat at the Table like the movie Black Panther received rave reviews in all categories! This intimate dinner party created a safe place for like-minded women to connect, share + elevate each other birthing a new movement in Pittsburgh entitled EMPOWHER. {SHE} can't wait for the next fab event!

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Abby + Josh

Elegant, Classic + Timeless! These words not only describe our {SHE} couple Abby + Josh, but also their beautiful wedding ceremony + reception held at The Duquesne Club in downtown Pittsburgh. Our bride Abby wore a beaded Maison Valentino dress with complimenting Valentino shoes that was completely stunning + the perfect amount of chic! Friends + family gathered around Abby + Josh for an intimate ceremony in the Fountain Room at The Duquesne Club + from there, guests moved to the Founders Room for a sit down dinner. In such a historic + iconic building as The Duquesne Club, it does not take much to dress up the space. Therefore, Abby + Josh opted for a simple + sophisticated decor of white, gold + greenery. It was a perfect day that ended with the famous Duquesne Club macaroons + guests dancing the night away.
