With sunnier days ahead and thinking of the groom's signature, infectious laugh, the first week of spring just would not feel right without sharing this vibrant beauty! For Mack + Lou's iDo, {SHE} brought a boho chic garden vibe right to the heart of the city on the outdoor tented terrace at Hyatt House Southside. Mackenzie, affectionately known as Mack, was craft savvy!! {SHE} totally surprised us when {SHE} researched, designed, + printed her own invitation suite + stationery--gold foil included!! The personal + sweet touches did not stop there. Mack redesigned and wore her mother's wedding gown, some family vases were sprinkled throughout the table design, homemade cranberry jam for favors, the sweetheart table bench was made by her dad, the dressers were adorned with family photos + pies, and we borrowed the bar cart for the cake from their home. Family and friends signed a white serving platter in permanent marker--the perfect guest book for this foodie couple!! And then there was the color palette, mix of textures, eclectic elements, and whimsy yet stunning florals!! Let's seriously have a moment of silence for Mack's bouquet--drop dead gorgeous!! *inserts silence* Ok now spring forward to loads of pretty captured by Ryan Zarichnak!

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Laura + Luke

When you look up the definition of "rustic glam" you're bound to find photos from Laura + Luke's special wedding day. With it taking place on New Year's Eve it was a no brainer that sparkle had to fill their day - from beginning to end (literally).  Laura, a total fab bride -- just check out that in-cred-ible Pnina Tornai bridal gown + Jimmy Choo Pumps! -- wanted to be true to her love of rustic, natural elements but also her passion for fashion + luxe design.  The couple exchanged their vows before family + friends at St. Vincent Basilica in Latrobe - an absolutely stunning church with exquisite architecture + holiday decor. Everyone then danced the night away at Bell's Banquets - a converted + beautifully updated barn with crystal chandeliers.  Not one detail was missed! To accomplish the rustic glam motif, clear acrylic elements were intermixed with gold + mixed wood finishes with the acrylic guest tables, wooden + sequined menus, a custom monogram lucite + wooden sign that hung above the sweetheart table + so much more! In preparation for the countdown to 2017, a balloon drop awaited with monogrammed confetti within as well as noisemakers from which "Luke + Laura" gold metallic laser cut tags hung + a dessert spread compiled of customized NYE cookies, glitter fortune cookies, dessert shots, live donut station + the couple's favorite cookies just to name a few.  Fair enough to say that there was no better way to close out 2016 + start not only a new year but a life together!!

Pittsburgh Wedding Planner | Alyssa + Rodger

{SHE} recalls one of the first meetings with our bride Alyssa + her mom. When asked, "What is your vision for overall wedding style?" Alyssa promptly answered "modern Audrey Hepburn". With that vivid imagery, the planning was full-steam ahead with decor encompassing a boxwood head table backdrop, spiral topiaries Swiss dotted linens, and a room layout that mimicked an enchanted floral garden. The couple loved the elegance and formality of the Omni William Penn Grand Ballroom but wanted to make sure it maintained the lightness and joy of their high summer wedding date. With a color palette of pinks, corals, greens + yellows, it was a no-brainer when Alyssa came across floral printed bridesmaid dresses that incorporated all of those colors + pulled everything together. One of the most special surprises of the couple's special day was their custom-made 10-foot high playhouse from which the dessert offerings were featured. Alyssa's father built her a playhouse when she was young, which sparked him to start a business that continues to this day Lilliput Children's Playhouses. For the wedding the bride's father and his gracious employees crafted a custom bistro-inspired playhouse complete with built-in arched display shelving, faux ornamental iron railings, lighted lamp posts, and custom signage that matched our wedding monogram and let the guests know that “Rodger and Alyssa’s Sweet Shoppe” was open for business! To quote the wedding inspiration, Ms. Audrey Hepburn, "The one thing in life to hold onto is one another..." Alyssa + Rodger undoubtedly decided to do that in stylish perfection!

And the award goes to....Evanee + Jim! Our Taylor Swift lovin', doctor-by-day, dreaming of Hollywood by night bride had a very specific vision and {SHE} brought New Hollywood glam to the Steel City. Every single detail was intentional and seriously came together like one of your favorite love films that puts you in tears by the time the credits are rolling. Their wedding was a movie-literally! The Buchners started their love story with a styled video save-the-date trailer that was a modern day spin on how they met and later was premiered as the introduction for their grand entrance at the reception. It included a new edit and real time moment from the actual wedding day because Sho Films is that amazing! The wow factor and drama did not stop there. From Evanee's gorgeous illusion and lace gown hidden with a full skirt for a jaw dropping change out that surprised everyone (groom included) to the 100 foot red carpet entrance with paparazzi to capture guests entering to the gold edged cake defying gravity from a crystal chandelier to the red carpet floral runner cascading from the king table to the thousands of bold red roses against muted tones to the aerialists performing throughout the evening--the Buchners gave their guests an award winning evening of not just eye candy + design but insane fun! Ann Louise Photography was the perfect fit to capture all of the glam and Sho Films could not have cut their love story any better! {SHE} will never stop gushing over the Buchners. They won!

Cleveland Wedding Planner | Naeemah + Daven

On New Years Eve, with only 20 seconds left in the countdown, Daven dropped on one knee and asked Naeemah to bring in the New Year as his wife! The drama + romance behind their proposal continued with planning their dream wedding. Naeemah had a vision-a modern, chic black tie wedding along with a fun-filled weekend in the city. {SHE} knew it could only be brought to life with the help of a #detailsnob. The weekend kicked off with gorgeous welcome boxes (our favorite-to-date) that guests received upon checking into the Westin Downtown Cleveland. In the box guests would find custom-labeled, well everything! Mini champagne bottles. Mini water bottles. N+D’s favorite candies. And the hangover kit, which would come in handy after an eventful weekend! The party began after rehearsal on Friday with a welcome party at C’set La Vie and ended at The Vault for an after-party on wedding night. From the intricate bodice + lavish skirt of Naeemah's gown, to the breathtaking 10’ phalaenopsis orchid centerpieces to the 'X' shaped tables, the boldness of black, and perfect amount of sparkle, this bride loved drama just as much as {SHE} does! Naeemah + Daven’s city chic wedding was captured to perfection by Making The Moment and featured online in Bridal Bliss on ESSENCE.com. Now to enjoy all of the fabulousness that happened that one time {SHE} went to Cleveland-yup we travel!
